This directory tree or archive contains an ongoing critique of Adobe's PostScript language based on a close reading of the available Adobe PostScript documentation, mainly editions two and three of the Adobe PostScript Reference Manual (available online from Adobe as psrefman.pdf and PLRM.pdf).

The critique is divided into three texts: The explanatory text starts in Readme and includes this file, the theoretical text starts in main.c and the poietical text starts in GNUmakefile. The poietical text can be used to make a computer program called untitled from the theoretical text, and that program (an incomplete Adobe PostScript-compatible LanguageLevel 3 and Display PostScript interpreter for Unix-like computer systems) can be used to make practical use of the PostScript language.

The critique is best read, and used, alongside the Adobe documentation.
